About the song…
This song is my personal journey of “choosing the wrong” one in a relationship. After 17 years in an abusive marriage, it wasn’t easy to get back into the current dating scene. After being scammed in the online dating world, I decided to focus on my inner journey of self love, and my music career. I decided that I would totally wait and not date any longer. Thus, this song was born from that journey. ‘Someone To Love Me Right’ is a product of a 40+ year journey that we all find ourselves on in life. This song is about being vulnerable, passionate and my true story of the hardships we face in love and relationships. The focus of the song being on first, loving yourself and knowing who YOU are, then waiting for that to come along without compromising or settling on your values or standards.
